Super Mario World definitely holds its own against previous Mario games
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is a port of the SNES version, released after the earlier Super Mario Bros. trilogy. What a game it was and still is!

Just like the previous games, Super Mario World boasts fantastic level design, complemented by an art style bursting with vibrant colors. The game introduces a plethora of new elements, making it feel like a completely fresh adventure. Additionally, it offers alternative endings for certain levels, unlocking new secret routes on the world map for extra levels.

For the first time, this world map is one cohesive entity. It's brimming with secrets and more than just levels. It looks absolutely awesome. You can see all the individual worlds, yet it also forms a beautiful whole.

The range of power-ups has been expanded once again. New to the mix is the feather, which gives Mario a cape enabling him to fly. And then there's Yoshi! Riding on his back allows you to defeat previously unbeatable enemies and reach places inaccessible without Yoshi. Yoshi himself also comes with various power-ups. For instance, he can spit fire after gobbling up a red Koopa.

The game is packed with fun levels and surprises. It has a perfect length. There's plenty to keep you entertained for a while. And let's not forget, the soundtrack enhances the experience even more! You'll find a link to the soundtrack on this page, highly recommended to give it a listen!

In short, you absolutely must not miss out on this game! Trust me!

A fantastic game packed with secret levels and power-ups
Super Mario World was the launch game for the SNES in 1991 and appeared over ten years later under the name Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 for the Game Boy Advance. It is the first Mario game where you access previously unlocked levels via a world map. The worlds of Super Mario World are vast, diverse, and a feast for the eyes. The game starts off fairly easy, but soon you'll need to put in a lot of effort to complete the levels. Additionally, the game is packed with secret levels, and the final battle with Bowser can be a real headache. Luckily, you get the help of Yoshi and many other power-ups. Super Mario is a fantastic game in every way and is still considered by many to be the best game ever made.

Review of the best 2D platformer
The best 2D platformer from Nintendo to date is Super Mario World. I find the levels to be very creatively designed and the graphics are really beautiful.

My only issue with this port is that the GameBoy Advance screen is sometimes too small to look ahead comfortably. But that doesn't bother me too much.

Super game
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is truly one of my favorite games from the Mario series. In this game, you can also play levels riding on Yoshi's back, which adds a little something extra to the game. There are different colored Yoshis, each with their own power: for example, the blue Yoshi can fly indefinitely, the red Yoshi spits fire, the yellow one can stomp extra hard, and the green Yoshi is "normal" and eats everything.
Furthermore, it's also a challenge to find all the levels because some levels have 2 exits, leading to the discovery of another level.

With this game, you'll have hours of fun and it will transport you back to the days of the SNES.

Cartoony Mario Game
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is a fun Mario game and a great platformer. It's also a time killer and an uplifting game. The controls are good and the graphics are cartoony (which I quite like). Additionally, the boss battles are more enjoyable than in previous games. Definitely a Mario game you shouldn't miss!

Must-have for GBA Owners!
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is an absolute gem!
Mario and Luigi are on Dino Island, Princess Peach is once again missing, and it seems Bowser is up to his old tricks again.
Navigate through various levels, on land, in water, or underground; each level is fun. What I particularly enjoy about Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is the ability to ride Yoshi and the Cape-Mario power-up. Discovering the secret paths is always a blast.
This game definitely deserves a perfect 10! (Even more from me!)

The Mario Platformer
Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is the ultimate way to experience Mario! Super Mario Advance 2 has everything you could want in a Mario game. It's simple, with lots of levels and worlds, difficulty levels, in other words... everything a Mario game should have. Whether you played this game back in 2001 when it was released or pop it into your Game Boy Advance for the first time, it remains one of the best games for the console. There are levels where you breeze right through and others where you really have to put in the effort, so you won't finish it in just an hour. Personally, I played this game when I got my Game Boy Advance, so this game holds a special place in my heart. But even without that experience, this is still the best way to experience Mario. It's a pure and simple game!

A classic but on the GBA with some small changes
Super Mario World is a classic, but what if you're not home often? Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is perfect for you then. It's the same game as the SNES version, but with some small changes. The colors are a bit different because the original GBA didn't have a backlight. You can play as Luigi by clicking R on the world map, there's an intro cutscene, and more. This is definitely a recommendation, I give it a 9.

A great game to keep yourself entertained
Even though it may only take a weekend to finish the game... you've only truly completed it once you've conquered all 96 levels! Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 offers so much challenge and replay value due to all the hidden surprises. It was a historic move for the Mario franchise that deserves recognition. You definitely won't regret buying this.
