One of the very best GBA games; a standout!
It's a good thing you can never really kill Count Dracula. Otherwise, Konami wouldn't have made a sequel to the also excellent Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is also the best in the trilogy on the GBA, and was chosen by IGN as the second best game on the GameBoy Advance.

In any case, for fans, Aria of Sorrow resembles the previous two games on the GBA, which in turn resemble Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the Playstation. However, Aria of Sorrow is still a bit different. Instead of taking place in a gothic, dark past, it is set in a gothic, dark future; however, you don't notice any of this while playing. It's still the beloved catacombs in a grand castle where this game takes place.

Our white-haired hero named Soma Cruz battles a true army of undead and other creatures in Count Dracula's castle, while collecting their souls by slashing and stabbing to gain extra powers. There are countless souls to collect, and therefore countless improvements/combinations possible; a sort of early The Binding of Isaac.

Aria of Sorrow has been refined in several aspects compared to the previous two Castlevanias: there are fewer long loading times for various actions (saving, viewing inventory, viewing map), the game looks more colorful and sharper than the previous two, the music has been improved, and there is more variety in play style with additional weapons and the aforementioned soul enhancements.

In any case, Aria of Sorrow is an excellent game through and through, and stands head and shoulders above the best GBA games ever released on our beloved console. Get the game as soon as possible, and become as photosensitive as the vampires you're trying to kill!

Tip: keep a clove of garlic handy.

One of the Best in my Opinion Castlevania's
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is really great. A solid addition to the Castlevania series.

I'm not a huge fan of the older Castlevania games (the ones on the NES and SNES, etc), but this one pleasantly surprised me. What sets this Castlevania apart is the fact that you now have an 'inventory' where you can choose and buy different weapons, whereas in most Castlevania games you just have a whip. In this game, you're not a Belmont (the family most main characters in Castlevania belong to). Plus, there are friendly NPCs (both familiar and lesser-known characters from the series).

If you're somewhat familiar with the series, you'll really enjoy this game, but it's also great for beginners. I would highly recommend it for beginners. The difficulty level is much lower. However, it does get super difficult later in the game. So, don't worry! Additionally, the game has multiple endings, so you'll have to play it several times to fully complete it. Pay close attention, as not everything is as it seems in these games.

I think Castlevania Aria of Sorrow is a real gem, I can't say much more about it. It's suitable for both seasoned veterans and newcomers to the Castlevania series.

Pretty good Castlevania game
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow is a fantastic game for the Game Boy Advance. It features beautiful graphics for its time and a unique, dark story set in a castle full of vampires and other ominous creatures. The variety of weapons and magical powers make the combat exciting and challenging. The music is also excellent and fits perfectly with the game's atmosphere.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How can I make Soma glow in a GBA game?
Big Boss
13133
This glitch allows Soma to glow indefinitely! To start, you'll need the spirit of Manticore/Devil/Curly. Then, head towards the hallway of the dance hall, go downstairs, and walk towards the last door (in the background). Without harming anyone, look to the left and press R to transform. Keep it pressed until you've passed the last hole in the floor. When the game tries to change you back, release the button and immediately perform a slide. This tricks the game into thinking you fell while transforming back, permanently turning Soma into a bright version. He will remain this way until you use Devil/Manticore/Curly again.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How do I complete the map for 100.1% in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow?
Big Boss
13133
To complete the game 100.1%, you first need to finish Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow 100% and have a Curly soul. Start a new game and head to the chapel, then go upstairs to the room with all the ghosts. Next, go to the top left corner and stand under the platform where the Axe Armor was. Now, look to the right and perform a back dash until you hit the wall. After that, use the Curly soul and you will be teleported outside the castle. Then, drop down on the left side until you land on a platform, then jump to the left off-screen. You will be teleported again and your map will be 100.1% complete.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How do I complete the map to 100.2% in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow?
Big Boss
13133
First, you need to perform the 100.1% glitch in Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Once you've done that, continue with the story, except when you need to obtain the Undine soul, do NOT go to the upper floor. Instead, head back to the Inner Quarters and Dance Hall, then make your way to the Floating Garden. Proceed to the room connected to the Clock Tower. Next, go to the top right corner of the room and use the Curly soul. You will then be teleported outside the castle. This time, position yourself to the left of the second spike from the right. When you jump, you will be teleported, and your map will show 100.2% completion.
